General assumptions on Autism.

I write a great deal about health and fitness and I have a lot of published essays about different issues in health and wellness. My current articles are about weight loss and dieting and they can be found at Fat Loss 4 Idiots and Unique Hoodia. Also make sure you see my sites on Phen375.

American Leo Kanner and Austrian-born Bruno Bettelheim, who was the child psychologist that made popular the term refrigerator mother, were the two who leased works that suggested that poor parenting might have a very strong role to play is causing children to be autistic. This could hardly be true, as was found in later years, but it does suggest that you have work to do as a parent in raising your child. This you must, without compromise.

Today, it is believed that the likely causes of autism are neurological abnormalities, and not poor parenting as was thought back in the early twentieth century when autism first emerged as a recognizable syndrome. Research supports this, but it still does not confirm or specify which or how. In any case, it is the necessary first step that will point mankind in the right direction for curing this malady I hope.

The internet is perhaps the best place you can go to get whatever information you need about anything. Autism is certainly no exception to this rule, because with a single search engine, you can get countless links that will take you to websites with all that you need to know about the condition. And if what you need is a physician to help out with your child, you can find one online.

There are all kinds of reasons why a child may suffer from autism, and as yet researchers do not know them all. One such reason is genetics and DNA, which has more or less been proven; and another reason is the environment in which the child was born, or something like that. Other risk factors exist, and until we have them all, we might not be able to cure autism just yet. Kudos to the researchers.
